“While Justin is not a victim of Sean Combs, there are those who have suffered real harm,” Bieber’s rep told PEOPLE. “Diverting attention from their experiences undermines the accountability they deserve.”
Combs, 54, faces federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering following a September indictment. He has denied all allegations, with his trial commencing May 12.

Bieber, 31, previously collaborated with Combs and maintained a years-long friendship with the music mogul. However, a source close to the “Baby” singer revealed last fall that he chose to distance himself from the scandal after welcoming his son, Jack, with wife Hailey Baldwin Bieber.
Amid Combs’ legal turmoil, a 2009 YouTube video resurfaced showing a 15-year-old Bieber with the rapper. In the clip, Combs jokes about gifting the teen a Lamborghini and his mansion, while Bieber suggests “getting some girls” during their 48-hour hangout. The footage, filmed during Bieber’s rise to fame, has drawn renewed scrutiny as Combs’ trial unfolds.
Bieber’s team has not commented further on the video. Combs’ representatives maintain his innocence.
