Elaine Thompson beats Sha’carri Richardson and Bromell Takes the top Spot in EPIC Prefontaine 100m races

Jamaica double Olympic champion beats Sha’carri Richardson and Bromell and takes the top spot in epic Prefontaine 100m races. Elaine Thompson-Herah, the double Olympic champions in the women’s 100m and 200m in 2016 at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the Tokyo 2020 games in Tokyo, Japan, won the women’s 100m in 10.79 seconds

Elaine Thompson beats Sha’carri Richardson and Bromell Takes the top Spot in EPIC Prefontaine 100m races

Sha’carri Richardson who won the USA 100m at the US National Championships last year, but was later suspended for having a positive test for marijuana, ran a season’s best of 10.92 seconds for second place to just barely beat out Jamaica’s reigning Olympics Bronze medalist Shericka Jackson, who ran the same time for 3rd place.

USA Sprinter Bromell, the fastest man in the world last year, came back from a false start disqualification in Birmingham last weekend to win a star loaded field in the men’s 100m in a time of 9.93 seconds, just ahead of compatriot silver medalist Fred Kerley 9.98 seconds and Christian Coleman the reigning world champion
